Today, Bonnier Magazines launches their first digital-only weekly magazine – C Mode by carolinesmode.com. C Mode is a fast, fun and up-to-date review of the fashion world, which gives the reader the opportunity to be inspired and shop whenever and wherever they are. It is based on the renowned blog by Swedish fashion blogger Caroline Blomst, who has a large, international and fashion-savvy audience.
“I'm really excited about C Mode, which contains the best from my blog presented in a very visually appealing and quick way,” says Caroline Blomst. “It's great to see the blog take the shape of a digital magazine, which gives the content a fresh look and really showcases the images to their full potential.”
C Mode is the first title from Bonnier’s new digital imprint Boom Publishing.
“We have started Boom as a kind of publishing greenhouse in which we will develop digital brands outside of the titles we have in print,” says Peder Bonnier, head of digital at Bonnier Magazines in Sweden. “We have felt a need for an environment in which to freely experiment with the opportunities that arise from publishing to tablets, in terms of technical capabilities, but also in terms of the content itself, frequency, tempo and business models. With Boom, we have a platform where we can elaborate freely and C Mode is a great first example.”
C Mode is available initially for the iPad and sold through the iTunes app store. A single issue will cost $0.99 and a one-month subscription is $2.99. A version for Android 3.0 will be released later in the fall.
